  • December 4th, 2009 - Talouselämä - a Finnish economics magazine publishes an article about CSR in China. Our project gets a special mention
  • September 29th 2009 - We held our Opening ceremony of our school in GuiYuan village in Sichuan
  • September 2009 - Mrs Hilkka Virkki a Finnish artist living in Shanghai donates a painting for the teachers office
  • May 5th 2009 - We held our Ground Breaking ceremony of our school in GuiYuan village in Sichuan
  • April 22nd 2009 - We celebrate toghether with the Finnish Expo team the ground breaking ceremony of Kirnu. See the pictures at the official expo site
  • April 16th 2009 - Our Chinese-language project web site is launched. Please visit www.fenfangchina.org
  • April 16th 2009 - We arrange a very successfull press conference to brief Chinese media on the details and background of our project.
  • March 20th, 2008 - CSR-Pioniees joins the project and supports us by creating our Chinese language web-site.
  • March 17th 2009 - The Finnish Embassy in Beijing, who has already pledged funds for our project raises its sponsorship substantially. We are now at the 90% mark of our fundraising.
  • March 13th 2009 - DigiEcoCity Ltd. joins the project.
  • March 10th 2009 - The FinChi Innovation Center joins the project.
  • March 6th 2009 - MyLab Oy joins the project.
  • February 9th, 2009 - The Finnish EXPO2010 team and our project agree on organizing a joint ground breaking ceremony at the site of the Finnish pavillion. The ceremony will be held in late April.
  • December 30th, 2008 - Etelä suomen sanomat runs two articles about the project.
  • December 26th, 2008 - Project management visits site for negotiations with local government officials regarding permits and timetables.
  • December 25th, 2008 - Cargotec China, that is, Hiab, Kalmar, MacGregor, join the project.
  • December 22nd, 2008 - The architects of Pöyry publish 3-D renderings of the proposed design.
  • December 16th, 2008 - Martin Bencher Group joins the project.
  • December 16th, 2008 - Auramarine Asia Ltd. joins the project.
  • December 13th, 2008 - A radio program produced by Radio86 aired on the Chinese hour of Classic Radio in Finland.
  • December 10th, 2008 - Kaleva runs a story about the project.
  • December 8th, 2008 - Donation agreements are sent out to founding members of the project.

  • November 20th, 2008 - The steering group selects the Primary school of GuyYuan village, some 30km north east of Chengdu, as the building site.
